RENÉ J. RIEDI, born in 1950 in Zurich, has more than 30 years of experience in advising mainly institutional investors at the Credit Suisse Group in Zurich, as well as several years of experience as Treasurer of CSAM. Since 1977, he has advised mainly institutional investors. After working for two years in the US at Swiss American Securities Inc., New York, Credit Suisse, Los Angeles, and at Crocker Bank, San Francisco, he took over the institutional investors sector in 1985.
In the early 1990s, he initiated, implemented and managed the asset management conceptual model for institutional clients and global custody. After the reorganisation of the Credit Suisse Group, he took on a management role, overseeing Institutional Investment Advisory Switzerland and the leadership of relationship management for the regions of Zurich, Aargau, Schaffhausen, Glarus, Basel and Geneva. He then built up the foreign exchange and money market trading for the business unit CSAM and led the division. In 2002, he became head of Treasury CSAM and continued to manage foreign exchange and money market trading. Finally, in 2003, he assumed the function as Seed Money Manager for CSAM worldwide.
