JACQUES E. STAUFFER, born in Basel in 1958, has had a career of more than 25 years in investment management and as an advisor to institutional and private investors at Credit Suisse in Basel, Zurich and Berlin. During his professional career, his sound knowledge and experience in asset management has benefited institutional investors, collective investment schemes and pension funds.
Over the years, he has taken several opportunities to gain international experience and to enhance his understanding of the needs and demands of institutional investors. In the 1990s, he was one of the first in the Swiss market to systematically develop quantitative investment approaches for institutional clients and successfully implement them. As head of Balanced Products & Consulting at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Zurich, he set new, high standards, still successful to date, in the field of mixed mandates and tactical overlay strategies. In his last role at Credit Suisse in Zurich, he served as Head Multi Asset Class Solutions (MACS) Continental Europe, responsible for the supervision of all portfolio managers and product development in these country regions.
Jacques E. Stauffer graduated from the Business School in Basel, the International Banking School in New York and the Swiss Finance Institute (formerly Swiss Banking School) in Zurich.
He was awarded the CS Overall Leadership Award (Aeppli Prize).
