PARSUMO Capital AG was founded as an independent asset management company run by a team of experts in quantitative asset management in Zurich and Boston. The company is a member of the Swiss Association of Asset Managers (SAAM) and is subject to supervision by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). The partners at PARSUMO have many years of experience in asset management and have access to a comprehensive professional network of over 30 specialists in Zurich, Basel and Boston.
PARSUMO focuses on quantitative asset management, which adds value through
- tactical investment decisions and
- systematic and dynamic stock selection in inefficient markets.
PARSUMO’s strategies never involve any short-selling or leverage and can be implemented in a variety of ways.
PARSUMO is an asset manager that is not guided by returns. Instead, our top priority is risk management. This means that we assess the financial markets risks and manage the required risk budget under consideration of expected developments.
For decisions about the tactical asset allocation, this means we have to be able to measure and identify turbulence and systemic risks in the financial markets at an early stage. Our strengths are based on years of successful research into the subject of risk management in the area of investments. The unique results and findings of ten years of academic research came from Boston, are published in the most prestigious publications, and are applied in practice using PARSUMO’s Risk Regime Investing approach.
Our Quantitative Stock Selection, also a rule-based investment approach, has been developed since 2004. It has been used in its current form since 2010. The findings gained on identifying inefficient markets provide valuable input for deciding which markets should be covered passively and which actively.
