MARCEL R. ZUTTER, born in 1961 in Basel, has more than 25 years of international experience in asset and risk management. Prior to founding PARSUMO Capital he worked in Boston as a member of the executive operating group of State Street, the then world’s largest asset manager and global custodian.
He served as Global Head of Strategy & Executive Operations, responsible for strategic projects worldwide. Marcel R. Zutter has for many years advised sophisticated institutional investors in the US, Asia and Europe and successfully developed various business areas.
He has always been an advocate of investor interests. Marcel R. Zutter developed business models leading to increased transparency and substantially reduced costs for investors by applying innovative use of technology and new processes. As Global Markets COO he was also responsible for the development and distribution of new and market-leading analysis, research and electronic execution tools to support and improve the investment process for institutional investors. Previously, he developed the company presence of State Street in Zurich and in Southern and Eastern Europe. Early in his career, he was a financial analyst at Baring Securities in Hong Kong and Singapore, before he joined Credit Suisse in Zurich and built up a successful department in investment advisory, strategic consulting and global custody.
Marcel R. Zutter regularly published articles on the topics of asset and risk management and acts as a speaker. He is a member of various boards of directors in the financial and technology industry. Marcel R. Zutter holds a Master’s Degree in Business and Economics from the University of Basel and is a graduate of the Swiss Banking School and the Harvard AMP programme in Boston.
