VERA-PASCALE MERK, born in 1962 in Zurich, has more than 10 years of experience in the field of compliance at the Raiffeisen Group and as Head of Compliance at the bank Linth LLB AG. Prior to this, she worked in the area of forensic and integrity services for several years, gaining detailed knowledge of investigations into cases of suspicion and damages, and combating economic crime on national and international mandates.
One of her particular focuses is protecting a company’s values and reputation as fully as possible. Her work is guided by the principles of taking initiative, assuming responsibility and focusing on clients. Her strengths include recognizing complex client needs and developing lean, practice-oriented solutions.
Vera-Pascale Merk is a member of various working groups. She publishes specialist articles on the topics of money laundering prevention and data protection, and frequently appears as a speaker. She has a doctorate in business economics from the Graduate School of Business Administration Zurich, and completed the master’s course MAS Economic Crime Investigation and the DAS Compliance course at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
Above all, an effective compliance and data protection culture requires a company’s principles to be reflected in actual practice and conduct on all management levels.
